Publicizing Your Course

Start now:

  • 75% of Summer Session enrollments happen between May 1 - 7. The best time to promote your class is in the winter quarter when summer plans are made.

Do it Through Established Communication Channels:

  • Course announcements, adviser recommendations, and word of mouth are the most powerful way to promote your class.

Outreach:

  • Students on waitlists for winter and spring courses can be referred to Summer Session's course list
  • Students struggling in winter or spring classes, or failing to make minimum GPA or units/credit degree Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) can be referred to summer courses as well.
