Overview

As part of Summer Session, high school students (age 14-18) with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA can earn UC credits from anywhere!

At UCSC, remote and online courses are just like their face-to-face equivalents. Students are challenged, encouraged to think deeply, and expected to perform university-level work.

In High School Summer Online, students will:

  • Earn academic credit that is transferable to a future college or university (or back to high school)
  • Attend remote learning college classes with current UCSC students, visiting college students from across the country, and other high school students.
  • Receive 50% off the summer tuition rate!
  • Have the opportunity to practice and demonstrate what they learn individually and in groups through discussion forums, writing assignments, projects, and video conferences.
