2023 Summer Edge Checklist

Important steps for an early start:

  • Submit your 2023-2024 FAFSA or Dream Application by June 30 if you are a financial aid eligible student. This is in addition to the 2024-2025 application that you already filed for the upcoming school year. You must have your application on file AND be enrolled in the minimum 7 credits for Summer Edge to receive a financial aid offer.
  • Register for Summer Edge between April 1 and June 15 . 
  • You will be automatically enrolled in and charged for UC SHIP unless you waive by the deadline.
  • Register for Summer Edge . 
  • Enroll (or join the waitlist) for your 5-credit course by the add deadline. (How to Enroll Tutorials)
  • Enroll in a second 2, 3 or 5-credit class.
  • Submit a Summer Edge Housing Application if you want to join the Edge Residential Experience in Session 2. Learn more about Summer Edge Housing and Dining.
