2023 Summer Edge Checklist

Are you a new admit and want to take classes this summer? Here’s a checklist to make sure you don’t miss any
important steps for an early start!
- Register for Summer Edge before July 10.
- Choose your classes!
- Summer Edge Residential Program is in Session 2 - so look for those classes if you want to join us on campus!
- Enroll in your 5-credit course starting May 1.
- Enroll in your preferred section of the required 2-credit course by requesting a permission number through this form.
- Submit your 2022-2023 FAFSA or Dream Application by June 15 if you are a financial aid eligible student. This is in addition to the 2023-2024 FAFSA or Dream Application you already filed for the upcoming school year.
- Decide if you are paying for UC SHIP or submitting a waiver (deadline June 30). Having an insurance plan is required, so all Edge students are automatically enrolled in and charged for UC SHIP unless they submit an online insurance waiver. Summer waiver opens June 1.
- Submit a Summer Edge Housing Application starting May 1 if you want to live on campus for Edge Residential (after you enroll in courses). Priority will be given to students who submit a housing application by May 12. Learn more about Summer Edge Housing and Dining.
If you are enrolled in classes in Session 1, 8-week or 10-week classes and want to live on campus without the Edge Residential Program support, apply through the Summer Session Housing Application that matches the number of weeks you are in classes.
