Community Rentals (Off-Campus Housing)
communityrentals.ucsc.edu
The UCSC Community Rentals Office (CRO) maintains up-to-date listings of available rentals in the Santa Cruz community to assist students in locating rental housing off campus. Listings include rooms in shared housing, apartments, studios, condos and houses, and summer sublets. Summer Session students who plan to live off campus should look for housing in April and May before student sub-letters leave the local area.
To use the rental listings program, apply only for a temporary password on the "Search for Rentals" page at communityrentals.ucsc.edu . Summer Session students who are not regularly enrolled at UCSC in FWS quarters pay a $10 fee to access the rental listings.
In addition to the rental listings program, there is also a wealth of resource information available on CRO’s web pages, including: average housing costs, house hunting tips, and a sample rental application packet. CRO recommends you complete the online Renter’s Workshop and prepare your rental application packet before you start your housing search.
